Our
Story
We have 17 years of camp experience through parks and recreation, faith based organizations, and private camps. Having been involved in every step of the process from camp counselor to director, we are uniquely suited to partner with you in your camp journey.

We develop custom thematic day camp and VBS curriculum backed by psychology to keep your campers engaged and your staff confident. Our pre built programs are designed for ages 5-12 and we offer custom solutions for Tinys (2-4) and Teen (13-18) camps. We currently service the United States.
We offer professional development courses for you and your staff that empower you to be successful.
Our consulting and speaking services are aimed to assist you with all strategic planning, project management, and staff training needs.

Our
Founder
WEEEELL HEEEY! My name is Corinne Harkins and I am the Founder of CCS.
​
I fell in love with camp programming at age 12 when I spent three nights at God's Mountain Summer Camp, my first experience at an overnight youth camp. The instant friendships, competitive games, outdoor adventures, and the mentorship of my counselors had me hooked. The next year at age 13, I signed up as a camp counselor. Through my teenage years, I spent my summers working as a counselor and programming private and faith based camps and youth group activities.

I served in the Army National Guard from 2012-2020. During this time I deployed to Kosovo, worked at the Missouri State Headquarters as the lead analyst for the five major hurricanes of 2017, and led the S2 section of the 1/129 Field Artillery as an Intelligence Sergeant. Throughout this time I was still programming and volunteering youth camp experiences.

After graduating college from Missouri State University with a Bachelors in Intelligence Operations, Psychology, and Religious Studies, I was prepped to take an intelligence job overseas. However, I felt a calling to serve youth in the Kansas City area, so instead I took a job as an unpaid intern with LifeQuest Church and took a bunch of teens to you guessed it, SUMMER CAMP!

I took a job at a local municipality with the police department as a communications officer as it allowed me the ability to continue youth and camp programming. I also took the position of Children's Ministry Director at LifeQuest. During the summer of 2019 I lost my hearing in the left ear which meant I could no longer work for the police department. After browsing the internal positions available I stumbled across a Recreation Coordinator position with the parks and rec department that ran all special events, non-athletic programs, and YOUTH CAMPS! It was a perfect match. I've been in parks and recreation in addition to ministry ever since.
